Staman Acres Civic Association
Spring Meeting Minutes 
April 8, 2014
 
The spring meeting was held at the Farmington Hills Fire Station – 11 Mile and Orchard Lake Roads.
President Kurt Vaaler called the meeting to order at about 7:05pm.

Recording Secretary Report

• Reading of the previous meeting minutes was waived.  Minutes were approved by attendees.

Welcome our new residents

• Ethan and Elizabeth Heiden at 31810 Belmont
• Sandy Broadbent

Condolences

• Adam Sorisho

Treasurer Report

• The 2014-2015 budgets was prepared and read by Kathie Brown and approved.
• There were 63 paid and 54 unpaid association dues.

Road Project

• Any problems should be noted by residents, i.e. questionable finishes or problems with drainage.
• The city provides a 20 year guarantee on the new roads.
• Concerns can be emailed to [email protected] or call Mr. Molsch at city hall at 871-2400 he is the inspector for the project in Farmington Hills.

Neighborhood Watch

• No discussion but please be vigilant to strange activity.

New/Old Business

• There will be further discussion regarding updating the by-laws and possibly enforce a SACA dues lien for none paying residents
• There was further discussion about ways to reduce speeding on the new roads including speed limit signs
• There will be some replacement material at the Orchard Lake sub signage
• All four officers were re-elected until mid 2015

Other notable mentions by attendees/officers

• Reminder to clean up litter in the ditches in front of your house
• The association seeks volunteers for a picnic in the common area tentatively set for August 16th
• There were 21 total attendees at the meeting
• The meeting adjourned about 8:45pm
