Fall Meeting Minutes
24 OCT 2017

Held at Drake and 9 Mile Roads Firehouse Meeting Room where Kurt Vaaler, President, called the
meeting to order about 7:13 PM EDT.

Recording Secretary Report
  • The previous meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.

New Residents/Condolences
  • Welcome our new arrival to the neighborhood at 31970 Staman Cr., names to be announced.

Treasurer Report
  • Please see the attached financial statement presented and provided by Ms. Kathie Brown, Treasurer.

Association Committees and Follow up Business
  • The SACA Resident Directory is still in progress, try to please send your updated information to SACA via the website below.
  • By-Laws renewal was discussed again by Kurt Vaaler, President. Discussion highlights between an attorney and Kurt prior to the meeting were as follows; total SACA attorney fees should come under the budgeted amount, filing property liens on unpaid SACA dues, restrictions on outside additions (i.e. sheds, fences), current by-laws are vague and outdated. Again the need for homeowner participation is paramount for a successful rewrite.
  • General feedback from residents was positive about the yard sale.
  • Landscape for the entrance signage may have to be outsourced as there are no volunteers to maintain the areas.
  • Flagpole possibility at the OL entrance is still in progress.
  • The PR entrance sign has some fading, the contractor is to be contacted about the issue.
  • ANY & ALL street maintenance, issues etc., brought on from reconstruction, needs your concerns to be brought by individual homeowners and directed to the Farmington Hills City Public Services Department Engineering Division 248.871.2560.

Other
  • Kurt says “thanks” for all the support and feedback from the residents.
  • Please contact the association at our web-site www.staman-acres.org with your comments, ideas or participation.
  • The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM EDT.
  • Seven (7) people in total attended the meeting.

As always keep a neighborly watch, obey the vehicle speed limit and please keep litter in
its place.
