Autumn Meeting Minutes 
September 24, 2014

 
The fall meeting was held at the Farmington Hills Fire Station - 11 Mile and Orchard Lake Roads.
President Kurt Vaaler called the meeting to order at about 7:10pm.
 
Recording Secretary Report
  • Reading of the previous meeting minutes was waived.  Minutes were approved by attendees.

  • John and Maggie at 31654 Rocky Crest 

Condolences
  • Kay Wilkins. 

Treasurer Report
  • The budget for the upcoming fiscal year was approved.  It can be viewed on the SACA website.

Road Project
  • Any problems should be noted by residents, i.e. questionable finishes or problems with drainage.  One attendee noticed cracking near the edges of some locations throughout the sub.
  • The city provides a 20 year guarantee on the new roads.
  • Concerns can be emailed to [email protected] or call Mr. Molsch at city hall at 871-2400 he is the inspector for the project in Farmington Hills.

Neighborhood Watch
  • No discussion but please be vigilant to strange activity.

New/Old Business
  • There will be further discussion regarding updating the by-laws more to follow in the spring and will require a 2/3 approval by association members.
  • There was further discussion about ways to reduce speeding on the new roads including speed limit signs.  $300 was approved by the attendees for temporary signage regarding speeding reminders to appear around the sub-division.  More to follow in the spring meeting.
  • There was a sample of cars speeding or adhering to the residential limit set by the city and was done over approximately 3 day period at peak times in the morning and late afternoon.  There was one (1) car that was identified exceeding the city tolerance.
  • There will be some replacement material at the Orchard Lake sub signage.
  • There have been coyote sightings in the neighborhood, Keep an eye on small pets and children.
  • There was discussion about installing a flagpole at the OL entrance.
