Staman Acres Civic Association (SACA)
Special Meeting Minutes
Saturday August 12, 2023
Held at the City of Farmington Hills, Staman Acres Common Area during scheduled
picnic.
The meeting was called to order by Kurt Vaaler at about 7:00 PM EDT.
The purpose of the meeting was to vote on accepting the changes to the Staman
Acres Civic Association By-Laws. Prior to this meeting a letter was sent to all 84 of
the dues paying members asking for these members to respond if they were in
favor of the proposed changes to the By-Laws. 42 responded yes and 10
responded no. The next step was to vote on the By-Law changes at the March 30,
2023. No vote was held due to lack of members present for a quorum.
On the date of the special meeting there were currently 64 Members that had paid
dues for the current year. There were 11 members present at the meeting which
met the 15% requirement for a quorum. The motion was made to vote to amend
the Staman Acres By-Laws. All members present voted to approve the By-Law
changes. Motion was passed.
