Autumn Meeting Minutes
25MAY2021


Held at the common area of our subdivision at Staman Circle and Staman Court where Kurt Vaaler,
President, called the meeting to order about 7:05 PM EDT.

Secretary Report
  • The previous meeting minutes were read and approved by residents.

New Residents
  • New residents mentioned in the OCT2020 minutes received welcome packages to the SACA.
  • CONDOLENCES for our long time neighbor, active community resident and to the family of Mr. Doug King, may you forever rest in peace, God bless.

Treasurer Report
The budget and financial statement was presented and provided by Kathie Brown, A copy is
attached and/or will be available on the website or via request. Dues 2021; 57 paid, 60 unpaid.
Budget notes of mention; regarding $3700 increase was moved to the landscaping line item from other/previous budgeted expense items. Also noted 81 dues were paid, 36 unpaid, for 2020.

Projects New & Old
  • Discussion for the OL/RC entrance ensues, the county has restrictions for planting including permit requirements or more, there was a $9200 quote from a local nursery, more possible to come later, further discussion the association intent to mandatory dues or collect. Committee volunteers are Kathie Brown, Sue Ross & Charles Elias, thanks all.
  • Possible rummage/street/garage sub wide sale in August or as residents agree/request.
  • The by-laws were discussed and the direction SACA is moving to is to amend signatures for voting to one per dues paid current household/lot/owner, amending the association by laws which still requires 50% of resident owner signatures to amend. Further discussion the association intent to mandatory dues or collect. Committee volunteers are Kathy Brown, Sue & Charles.
  • NEW: Fairmount Street dead end, residents present agree to send a notice to prevent proliferation of our neighborhood (i.e. continuing a roadway northbound on Fairmont Street with construction adjacent to Staman Acres Subdivision without permission of the SACA. A petition may soon circulate.
  • OTHER: if there are issues with the physical well-being of the streets, we paid for a few years ago, please call the city to address the issues. The more we call the more they will be on our list to maintain our investment. The sooner we call the sooner they maintain.
REMEMBER: PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW LITTER ON THE STREETS! & PLEASE OBEY THE RESIDENTIAL AUTOMOBILE SPEED LIMIT 25 MILES/HOUR! WE ALL
