Spring Meeting Minutes 
15 OCT 2013

 
The fall meeting was held at the Farmington Hills Fire Station - 11 Mile and Orchard Lake Roads.
President Kurt Vaaler called the meeting to order at about 7:05pm.
 
Recording Secretary Report
  • Reading of the previous meeting minutes was waived.  Minutes were approved by attendees.

Condolences

  • Anita Kelel

Treasurer Report
 (to be published on the SACA website)
  • The 2014-2015 budget was prepared and read by Kathie Brown, Treasurer.
  • There were 65 paid and 55 unpaid association dues.
  • It was suggested that a returned check fee be established.

Road Project

  • Any problems should be noted by residents but will be addressed in the spring, i.e. questionable finishes or problems with drainage.
  • The city provides a 20 year guarantee on the new roads.
  • Concerns can be emailed to [email protected]

Neighborhood Watch

  • No discussion but please be vigilant to strange activity.

New/Old Business

  • There will be further discussion regarding updating the by-laws and possibly enforce a SACA dues lien for none paying residents.
  • There will be further discussion to ask the city to widen the Orchard Lake Road entrance/exit preliminary expense for the sub is $4500
  •  Further discussion will take place to replace the wood beams at the signage and the need to replace sprinkler heads at the Orchard Lake signage.

Other notable mentions by attendees

  • Speed limit is 25 MPH throughout the sub and seems to be violated more often, it was suggested to look into speed limit signs and/or speed bumps to curtail the speeding, more to follow.  

The meeting adjourned about 8:15pm
